Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Atta Gyamfi

Mr. Gyamfi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and holds MBA (Finance) from KNUST, BBA(Accounting) from Methodist University and Professional Certificate in Corporate Governance.Mr. Gyamfi has over 32 years’ experience in banking. He has also attended several courses locally and abroad including microfinance training in INDIA; fraud investigations and strategic management from GIMPA. He is a member of the   Institute of Directors – Ghana, a Board of trustee for Ashanti Region Rural Bank Employee Master Provident Fund and a member of ARB APEX product development committee.

Mr. Gyamfi was awarded with NOBLES INTERNATIONAL AWARDS in 2012 by West Africa Nobles for upholding the virtues of Honesty, Integrity and Accountability. He was appointed as the Senior Manager of the Bank in 2007 and ensured that the manual system was fully automated. The Bank was first admitted into Ghana’s Club 100 in 2011 under his leadership. Mr. Gyamfi has the vision of moving the bank to be the most efficient managed community financial intermediary in Ghana, in terms of deposits, profit, customer care and shareholders satisfaction.

His hobbies include Gospel teachings and helping the needy. Gyamfi is married with four children. Mr. Gyamfi is an ex-officio member of the Board.

DCEO

Mr. Ernest Osei

Mr. Ernest Osei was appointed as the Deputy General Manager (now the Deputy General Manager) of Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 1st February, 2021. Before assuming the role of Deputy General Manager, he served as the Internal Auditor for the Bank from December, 2013 to February, 2021.  

He joined the Bank on 1st April, 2013 as a Branch Manager. Following the recommendation from his immediate officer coupled with his hard work, devotion to duty and professional skills he exhibited, he rose to the position of an Internal Auditor.

Mr. Osei has fifteen (15) years experience in Rural Banking. He joined the Banking industry in 1998 at Mponua Rural Bank Limited as the Head of central Account. He further went on and worked with Kwahu Rural Bank Limited in 2002 as the Head of Transfer Department and left the Bank in 2013 as a Branch Manager.

He holds Masters Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Presbyterian University College and Higher National Diploma (Accounting) from the Koforidua Polytechnic.  

Heard of Operation

Mr. Osei Tutu

Mr. Frederick Osei Tutu was appointed as the Head of Operations on 1st August, 2018. He joined the Bank on 11th April, 2007 as an Accounts Clerk. He assumed this role for over a decade and through his hard work and dedication, he rose to the position of Head of Operations.

Mr. Osei Tutu over the years has experience in Banking Operations, Financial Risk Management, Financial Analysis and Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Valley View University.

Head of Internal Audit

Louis Owusu Gyimah

Mr. Louis Owusu Gyimah was appointed as the Internal Auditor of Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 1st April, 2022 with over seventeen (17) years experience in banking.

He joined the Bank in January, 2006 as an Accounts clerk. Prior to assuming his current office, he served as a Branch Manager from February, 2012.

 

Mr. Gyimah holds Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration (Accounting) from University of Education, Winneba and Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) from Kumasi Polytechnic. 

 

 

Risks and Compliance

Bright Ofori-Amoako

Mr. Bright Ofori Amoako was appointed as the Risk & Compliance Officer for Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 1st June, 2019. He is responsible for Compliance and Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting and Anti-Money Laundering.

Mr. Ofori has over fourteen (14) years rich experience in banking. He joined the Bank in May, 2009 as an Accounts Clerk and rose to the position of a Branch Manager prior to assuming his current position.

He is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Accounting).

 

 

Head of Credit

Joyce Osei

Ms. Joyce Osei is the Head of Credit for Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc. Her current position was attained on 1st February, 2021.

She joined the Bank on 1st May, 2009 as the Deputy Head of Credit who helped developed and implemented effective credit systems and also vigorously put in measures for loan recovery.

Joyce started her career as a Project Analyst with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) in Kumasi. She further went on and worked with Students Loan Trust Fund (KNUST Zone) as a Loan Officer. Joyce is very passionate and has keen interest in the fields of gender equity, women empowerment, education and entrepreneurship.

Ms. Joyce Osei holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers- Ghana.

 

Head of IT

Isaac Akuamoah - Boateng Adueni

Mr. Adueni is a solution-oriented IT professional with over seventeen (17) years experience in System Administration. He was appointed as the IT Coordinator on 19th October, 2018 with extensive experience in IT Governance and Technology Management, Digital and Business Transformation, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Data Science, Program and Project Management, etc. Before joining the Bank, he worked with Kwahu Rural Bank Limited from March, 2006 and held various key positions that helped promote the Bank.

Mr. Adueni Joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc in March, 2017 as an Assistant Internal Auditor (System Audit) and later rose to the position of an IT Coordinator.

He holds a Master of Science Degree in Health Informatics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; Bachelor of Science Degree in ICT from the Presbyterian University College of Ghana and Diploma in Management of Information Systems from NCR Computer Science Institute, Accra.

 

Head of Human Resource

Ebenezer Amoako

Mr. Ebenezer Amoako’s Journey with Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc started in June, 2005 as an Assistant Branch Manager. He has been with the Bank for eighteen (18) years. He rose to the position of a Branch Manager in December, 2006, serving in this position at various Branches within the Bank for over thirteen (13) years.

Mr. Ebenezer Amoako was appointed as the Human Resource Manager on 1st August, 2022. Prior to this, he has built varied experiences and worked in several positions over the years.

He holds Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelors Degree in Arts from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a proud past student of Prempeh College.

Head of Legal and Recovery

DANIEL ANARFI YAMOAH

Mr. Daniel Anarfi Yamoah (ESQ) was appointed as the Legal & Recovery Officer of the Bank on 15th February, 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Head of Credit from October, 2010 to Februray, 2018

He joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc in February, 2006 as an Assistant Credit Officer and later upgraded to Credit Officer.

Notwithstanding, Mr. Anarfi has some years of experience in the teaching industry. He has been in the industry from the year 1995 to 2003 before moving into the Banking sector.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Education (Agric) Degree from University of Education, Winneba. He holds a practicing and license certificate as a qualified Lawyer to practice as a Solicitor.

Branch Managers

Juansa - Branch Manageress

Sheila Antwi

Sheila was appointed as a Branch Manageress in May, 2022. She has over sixteen (16) years rich experience in the Banking sector. She started as a Back Office Staff with Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc and later on became a Teller.

Her hardwork and commitment made her rise to the position of an Assistant Branch Manageress in June, 2019.

Ms. Sheila Antwi joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 1st October, 2018. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked with First Allied Savings & Loans Limited as a Chief Clerk from 2007 to 2016.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration (Accounting) from the University of Education, Winneba and an ICA Foundation Certificate from Kumasi Polytechnic.

Agogo - Branch Manager

Richard Adzogah

Mr. Richard Adzogah has been with Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc for the past ten (10) years. He joined the bank on 1st April, 2013 as an Accounts Clerk. In 2014, he served as a Susu Coordinator responsible for managing the activities of mobile bankers.

Mr. Adzogah rose through the ranks to become an Assistant Branch Manager in 2018 and was later appointed as a Branch Manager in the same year.

He started his Banking career in 2007 with Gbi Rural Bank Limited as a senior clerk. He has also worked with Agrigoh Memorial Clinic as an Accountant.

Mr. Adzogah holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Ghana Baptist University; Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Ho Technical University and Banking Operation Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

 

Ayeduase- Branch Manageress

Janet Obeng Kwakye

Ms. Janet Obeng Kwakye’s career in Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc started as a typist on 6th May, 2004 then Front Desk Officer where she maintained this position for over eight (8) years. Her rich experience through these years coupled with her hard work and dedication upgraded her to an Assistant Branch Manageress.

Janet was appointed as a Branch Manageress in January, 2015.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University College of Management Studies, Ghana and a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK.

Juaso - Manager

Mohammed Ibrahim Anyars

Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Anyars joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank on 2nd June, 2008 as an Accounts Clerk. In February, 2011, he was appointed as a Susu Coordinator. The Bank believed in his teamwork, hard work and dedication to duty and therefore raised him to the position of an Assistant Branch Manager.

Mr. Ibrahim Anyars was appointed as a Branch Manager in April, 2013. He has worked in this position in different branches within the Bank ever since. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Ibrahim Anyars worked with the National Commission for Civic Education as a Programme Officer.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Accounting); Higher National Diploma in Accounting; Base Certificate in Office from the Institute of Information Technology and a Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting).

 

Konongo - Branch Manager

Nicholas Benful

Mr. Nicholas Benful joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 1st January, 2012. He has over eleven (11) years experience in Banking.

Mr. Benful started as a Susu Coordinator responsible for managing the activities of mobile bankers. Three years after serving the Bank, his sense of responsibility, discipline and dedication to his work made him rise to the position of an Assistant Branch Manager.

In July, 2018, he was appointed as the Branch Manager for Afful Nkwanta Branch and was later transferred to Konongo Branch.

Mr. Benful is a product of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology who holds a Master of Science Degree in Economics and a Bachelor Degree in Economics.

Odumasi- Branch Manageress

Juliana Asare

Ms. Juliana Asare joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 1st March, 2010. She was responsible for all cashiering duties at the Head Office Operations Department.

Juliana over the years has worked in various capacities within the branches of the Bank ranging from Operational Staff to becoming a Teller and then an Assistant Branch Manageress.

She was appointed as a Branch Manageress in August 2017. Juliana has been a strategic manageress who is client-centered and has used this approach to contribute to the growth of the bank.

Juliana holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography & Rural Development.

Afull Nkewanta - Branch Manageress

Dorcas Agyabeng

Ms. Dorcas Agyabeng was appointed as a Branch Manageress in July, 2018. Prior to becoming a Branch Manageress, she was an Assistant Branch Manageress who was very committed and passionate about her work.

Dorcas joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 4th March, 2013 as an Accounts Clerk.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration (Banking & Finance) from the Pentecost University.  

Ofoase - Branch Manager

Samuel Amponsah Twum

Mr. Samuel Amponsah Twum has been in Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc for over twenty-seven (27) years.

He joined the bank on 2nd January, 1996 as an Accounts Clerk. Mr. Amponsah’s hard work and dedication raised him to the position of a Branch Manager in May, 2005. HE has worked in this position till date.

Mr. Amponsah holds an RSA III certificate from Kumasi Polytechnic.

Roman Hill - Manager

Aaron Kwarteng

Mr. Aaron Kwarteng is the Branch Manager of Roman Hill Branch with over seventeen (17) years of experience in the Banking industry.

He joined Asante Akyem Rural Bank Plc on 6th February, 2006 as an Accounts Clerk. In October, 2008, he was appointed as an Assistant Branch Manager and upgraded to a Branch Manager in January, 2012.

Mr. Kwarteng has some years of working experience with the Ghana Education Service and served as a teacher at Garden City Sec/Comm. College, Kumasi.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Management from Swiss Management Centre, Switzerland; Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Leicester, UK and a Diploma in Accounting from the Institute of Management Studies.
